Haryana Police SPO Eligibility 2026
- Eligible category: Ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), or ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions.
- Educational qualification: Minimum 10+2 from a recognized board.
- Minimum service: At least 5 years of service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs.
- Candidates must not have been removed/dismissed from service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, or medical unfitness.
- Medical category at discharge must be ‘A’.
- Character certificate at discharge must be ‘Exemplary/Outstanding’.
- Preference is given to candidates with experience handling telecommunication equipment, particularly those who served in the Signal Corps of the Armed Forces/CAPFs.
- As per the affidavit requirement, candidates must not have any pending criminal case in any court, and must not have been previously appointed as an SPO in any other district of Haryana.

Haryana Police SPO Selection Process
- Candidates appear in person on the date fixed for their district with the completed application form, original documents, one set of attested photocopies, affidavit, and photographs.
- Documents pertaining to qualification, age, caste/category, and other certificates claimed in the application are verified from the concerned issuing authorities.
- Selected candidates undergo a medical examination before an appointment letter is issued.
- Character and antecedents of selected candidates are verified from the concerned district police authority by the Police Telecommunication Wing, Haryana, before issuing appointment letters.
- Selected SPOs undergo a 15-day capsule course to reorient themselves to Police Department requirements.
